Speaking at the  signing ceremony in Lagos, the Group Managing Director of C&I leasing Plc, Emeka Ndu explained that the  new partnership has created a conducive atmosphere for the expansion of  C&I Leasing.

Ndu said: “We are particularly excited at the prospects of this emerging sector and this partnership represents another significant milestone in the efforts of the organisation to compete even more aggressively in the offshore marine sector  and to continually create value for investors.”

The Chief Executive Officer of the Floatel International, Peter Jacobsson, who described the company as a business oriented player in the maritime sector said vessels from its stable are carefully designed to meet clients expectations.

Jacobsson said: “Each of our vessels were carefully designed to provide the most modern accommodation facilities, outfitted with ample recreation and common areas providing maximum comfort for its guests.”
He noted that the partnership with C&I Leasing was signed in respect ofFloatel Reliance – a DP2, semi-submersible accommodation and construction support vessel designed for cost effective operations worldwide and built in accordance with ABS class, with a total accommodation capacity for 500 persons, and is designed for cost effective operations on deep water, in moderate harsh environments.

C&I Leasing’s recently expanded its operations into the leasing of oilfield support vessels to the oil and gas industry and within the last four years “demonstrated remarkable achievements by owning and managing a fleet of 18 vessels”.
Due to the high level of its business operational in the maritime environment,  the company has just been awarded contracts for another six  vessels that are expected to start work before January 2016.
