Startup ecosystem leaders set to meet in Owerri
Startup Ecosystem leaders from across the South South and South East will be converging at Oluaka Institute, Obinze, Owerri later this month.The conference which is tagged #StartupSouth Stakeholders Conference, has its main theme as: ‘Positioning The Emerging Startup Ecosystem in The South-South/South-East Through Inter-City/State Partnership and Synergy’.
The conference will see ecosystem leaders like Hanson Johnson, Start Innovation Hub, Uyo; Daniel Chinagozi, Innovation Growth Hub, Aba; Chukwudi Edoga, Pascal Okeke, Startup Anambra; Chigozie Ezeugwu, Startup Enugu and others gather in Owerri over two days to network and deepen connections.
According to Uche Aniche, the convener, the conference will also feature presentation from speakers that include Kola Aina, founder of Ventures Platform; Mark Essien, founder of Hotels.ng; Fola Olatunji-David of Google Launchpad Accelerator and others.
The conference is backed by Oluaka Institute – the brand new skill acquisition and technology hub at Obinze Owerri.Oluaka hopes to help standardize Artisanal training – working the National Board for Technical Education in Nigeria.
Anchie added that agenda at the conference will centre on, but not limited to, experience sharing, sub-regional goal harmonization, startup funding options and more.
“The conference is under the auspices of #StartupSouth – a regional startup ecosystem development project which launched in 2015 with a goal to Connect, Expose and Attract Investment to Startups and Founders residing and operating out of South-South and South-East Nigeria”, he said.
