Adamawa begins training of 50 youths on digital skills

Adamawa Government in collaboration with Datarose Limited on Monday began digital skills initiative training for 50 youth and women to promote technological skills.

Speaking at the training in Yola, Hammanjumba Gatugel, Commissioner for Entrepreneurship Development charged the participants to actively participate to acquire the skills for more opportunities.

According to him, the selection of the beneficiaries was based on merit across 21 Local Government Areas.

He further appreciated Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri for approval and release of funds for the training exercise.

Michael Zira, Coordinator, Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), said the training was among the basic things the government intended to do in 2025.

He urged the participants to take advantage of the exercise to succeed as more opportunities were ahead for them at the end of the training.

He said attendance would be taken seriously and those, who had less than 75 per cent would not be considered.

Malam Arabo Ishaq, Chief Executive Officer, Datarose appreciated Adamawa government for providing the opportunity for the youths to acquire the skills.

Ishaq, who said the training would last for three weeks, urged participants to actively participate and cooperate with resource persons for a successful training.

Mr. Isaac Emmanuel, who spoke on behalf of the participants thanked the government for the opportunity.

He pledged their committment to actively participate and to step down the knowledge acquired in their respective communities.
