Firm leverages investment, life protection product to deepen market

Utica Capital Limited has unveiled a blend of insurance and collective investment scheme (CIS), which the Chairman of the company, Dr Adesegun Akin-Olugbade, described as a game changer in the market.

The product is a blend of a high-yield investment vehicle and life insurance targeted at Generation-Z (G-Z), upwardly mobile professionals, individuals who are approaching their retirement and other demographics.

Unveiled in partnership with Custodian, the product branded Utica Custodian Assured Fixed Income Fund (U-CAF), offers investors who have a strong preference for regular income the opportunity to invest in low to medium-risk fixed-income instruments with competitive returns with life insurance as an added value, the company said.

Akin-Olugbade said the product covers death and disability caused by an accident of up to 10 times its principal investment of subscribers capped at not N35 million.

The chairman, an investment banker, said the product was in commitment to the company’s relentless pursuit of excellence and a testament to its dedication to the sort of innovation Nigeria needs to deepen the investment market and appeal to the younger generation, including G-Z.
