Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) Plc has restated its commitment to meeting and satisfying consumers needs.The company reiterated its stance during the relaunch of Honeywell.Tagged ‘Honeywell Reloaded: Flour Mills of Nigeria Revitalises Iconic Brand’, the event took place in Lagos at the weekend.In a chat with journalists on the sidelines of the event, the Managing Director of Food, Flour Mills of Nigeria, Devlin Hainsworth, declared that the company recognised the pressure consumers were under, saying: “That is why we bring our brand to them and we have also tried to add more values where we can,“Fundamentally, in all our brands, we target families and their happiness and we believe our brands will stand the test of time.

At a time others are retrenching, we decided to invest in our brand, to improve the qualities of Honeywell products, to continue to improve and give qualities in hard times. We try to put a little more in them. We want to come through the hard times with consumers knowing and loving our brands.”On what FMN is doing ensure adequate local raw materials for its products, especially wheat, he said: “FMN is involved in wheat development programme. It is very much involved in sourcing the seeds and working with the farmers.

We are stepping it up, though the local sourcing is still very relatively low. Local sourcing per centage is still in the single digit, it’s not a lot, but we look, where we can, to consider other local materials without impacting the quality adversely. We are working to develop local wheat capability.”He said the company would continue to improve on its brands, where it could, to offer additional values to its consumers.A statement commemorating the relaunch of Honeywell described Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, as a leader in the Nigerian food industry, saying the relaunch had created excitement among stakeholders, particularly the consumers.“This milestone event, held in Lagos, unveils Honeywell’s dynamic new identity, featuring vibrant packaging, enhanced product quality, and a renewed commitment to meeting consumer needs.
