Plans are underway by the Hongye Group to establish a centre where Mandarin will be taught to broaden entrepreneurial opportunities to Nigerians doing business with China.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group, Moses Ayom said in Abuja that the language centre will aid Nigerian traders and tourists learn the language of China, which is emerging as a major economic superpower.
He said: “As a recipient of the prestigious award of Outstanding Advocate of China/Nigeria Relations, I feel duty-bound to be at the forefront of this effort. We shall establish on this premises a Mandarin Language Center to aid Nigerian traders and tourists learn the language of the most dominant world economic power.”
Ayom further hinted that Hongye Group’s trade advisers will also establish a trade desk to advise Nigerians on the most suitable suppliers of goods in China to eliminate sharp practices and illicit trade in counterfeit and substandard goods.
