THE International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, will launch the Africa Corporate Governance Programme for Nigeria at a dinner, on Tuesday, in Lagos.

IFC management in Nigeria said yesterday that, although, the event will be open to the media practitioners, they are expected to contact IFC media representatives for details.

The AFCGP is designed to improve firm performance and increase the ability of markets in the Sub-Saharan Africa region to attract and retain investment by promoting the implementation of corporate governance best practices and standards, in line with regional priorities.

The launch will attract corporate board members, celebrated business and industry leaders as well as IFC nominated experts, who will facilitate discussions at the event.

The Africa Corporate Governance Program is funded by Secretariat for Economic Affairs, Switzerland and IFC is the implementing partner for the program.
