Operators in the food and beverages sector of the manufacturing industry have charged the Federal Government to create an investment friendly environment for businesses to thrive in the country.

According to them, the more favourable the environment is for manufacturing, the more foreign direct investments and local investments the Nigerian economy would attract.

The Managing Director, La Casera Company Limited, Chinedum Okereke, while announcing new initiatives under its refresh and connect consumer promo, also called on the private sector to support the federal government to drive foreign direct investments. He added, “In La casera, we are looking 10 years ahead and we know that the government is not going to do it alone. The private sector must work closely with the federal government to drive investment inflow and the ease of doing business in the country. They must also work to drive the competitiveness of Nigeria as a country. We are all looking at that and we are very central in making this achievable,” he said.

“For us it is 18 years of strong commercial presence and aggressiveness, strong supply chain capability and we also see our human capital as a very important part of our business where we use our human resources to achieve our vision and mission,” he added.

The Group Marketing Director, Emmanuel Agu, said the promo is coming at a time where the company as the market leader in the apple category is making a bold statement in the market.

According to him, La casera is the only apple drink with 5 per cent real apple juice concentrate. He said there are so many disruptions in the market place with so many brands coming up, but stated that the market is growing as a result of healthy competition. On the means of participation in the promo, he said consumers can take part either by SMS or WhatsApp, saying that the more they participate the more they win big.
