He holds first degree in Insurance and Masters Degree in Marketing, all from University of Lagos. He cut his teeth in insurance having joined Lasaco Assurance as an Insurance Officer in 1991 and has continued in practice with the leading insurance company since then.
Mr. Dosunmu has held various strategic positions in Lasaco Assurance both in Lagos and Abuja. He has been Head, Reinsurance, Branch Manager, Senior Manager and Controller between 1995 and 2006. He became the assistant general manager in charge of marketing and business development in 2008. 2010 saw him rise to the post of deputy general manager in charge of plans and programmes. Still as the DGM, he got additional responsibility of overseeing business services and risk management function in 2010.
Speaking on his elevation, the Group Managing Director of LASACO Assurance Plc, Mr. Olusola Ladipo-Ajayi, explained that Mr. Dosunmu has the requisite skills in insurance operations and a system man as far as Lasaco Assurance business model and structure is concerned.
He stated that “his duty tour which has taken him round different operational units of the company has fully prepared him for his new assignment. Taking his educational and professional backgrounds into account, his elevation is well deserved. He is indeed a round peg in a round hole.
