Lekki port appoints Bello-Koko, Lianjiu to board

Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited has announced the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mohammed Bello-Koko, into its board to represent the authority.

Similarly, the Executive General Manager of the investment business unit of China Harbour Engineering Company, Zhang Lianjiu, will join the board to represent the interest of China Harbour, the majority shareholder of Lekki Port.

According to the port management, the appointment took effect on April 20, 2022.

The management also disclosed that NPA holds a five per cent equity shareholding in Lekki port, while the other shareholders are China Habour Engineering Company (CHEC), which has the majority share of 52.5 per cent, Lagos State Government with 20 per cent, and Tolaram with 22.5 per cent.
