CBN may appoint 16 new directors

There are indications that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) may appoint 16 new directors soon.

It was gathered that the appointments may have received the go-ahead from the board of the apex bank.

Those on the list include Abdullahi Hamisu, who is designated to man the Banking Services Department, while Ojomu Adenike Olubunmi is chosen to head the Medical Services Department.

The Procurement and Support Services Department will be headed by Makinde Kayode Olanrewaju, and Jide Samuel Omoyemen Avbasowamen will head the Information Technology Department.

Sike Rita Ijeoma is slated for the Financial Policy and Regulation Department as the substantive director.

Isa-Olatinwo Aisha was slated as the director in charge of the Consumer Protection Department, while Oboh Victor Ugbem went to the Monetary Policy Department as the director.

Nakorji Musa is the new director of the Trade and Exchange Department, while Yusuf Rakiya Opemi was posted to the Payments System Supervision Department as the director.

The Strategy Management and Innovation Department has Vincent Monsurat Modesola as its director.

Farouk Mujtaba Muhammad is the new director of the Reserve Management Department.

Akinwumi Olubukola Akanniyi heads the Banking Supervision Department, while Adedeji Adetona Sikiru emerged as the director in charge of the Currency Operations and Branch Management Department, and Hassan Ibrahim Umar is the director of the Development and Finance Institutions Supervision Department.

Solana Mohammed Jamiu Olayemi is the director in charge of the Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department, while Okpanachi Usman Moses heads the Statistics Department as a director.
