Moniepoint names Victor Osimhen brand ambassador in new campaign

Moniepoint Microfinance Bank (MFB) has appointed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as its brand ambassador as part of its newly launched campaign, Made for Your Progress.

The company said the initiative is designed to emphasise its support for Nigerians pursuing personal and business growth.

Managing Director of Moniepoint MFB, Babatunde Olofin, explained that the campaign highlights the contributions of individuals and small businesses to the economy.
“At Moniepoint, we have always believed that the ambitions of Nigerians are the bedrock of our economy as evidenced by the informal economy’s contributions to GDP,” Olofin said.

“We celebrate the people behind the many businesses we serve, and the individuals who have created value with our personal banking service. Made for Your Progress is our promise to every Nigerian with a dream – that we will provide the financial comfort, confidence, and freedom they need to focus on building those dreams.”

Osimhen, who recently completed a permanent move to Galatasaray for a reported €75 million, said his career reflects the values of progress and determination.
“My journey has always been about believing in progress, no matter the challenges. That is why I am proud to be associated with Moniepoint, a brand that truly supports people’s dreams and celebrates their wins, big or small,” he said.

The footballer added that the message of the campaign mirrors his personal story. “Their belief that every dream is valid and their commitment to powering progress aligns perfectly with my own life journey. Made for Your Progress is not a fancy, feel-good slogan; it’s a message of hope and a promise of support that I am proud to champion.”

Moniepoint launched its personal banking service in August 2023, providing an app for money transfers, bill payments, and airtime purchases. Customers also have access to a debit card that can be used at ATMs, POS terminals, and online. The service builds on Moniepoint’s existing infrastructure, which it says is already used by over 10 million businesses in Nigeria.

The new campaign will be promoted across traditional and digital platforms, with the company stating that it will feature stories of different customers to show how its services are applied in everyday life.
