The PEARL Awards Nigeria, the country’s foremost platform for recognising excellence in the capital market, will on November 30, 2025, mark its 30th anniversary at the Lagos Oriental Hotel.
This year’s edition, themed ‘Celebrating a Legacy of Corporate Excellence’, highlights three decades of rewarding quoted companies for outstanding performance based strictly on verifiable facts and figures.
Speaking ahead of the milestone celebration, the President/CEO of the PEARL Awards, Tayo Orekoya, said the event would not only honour the 2025 winners but also reflect on the award’s journey since its establishment in 1995.
“We have walked a 30-year path guided by transparency and integrity. This anniversary is about celebrating excellence and reaffirming the values that continue to shape the Nigerian capital market,” Orekoya stated.
The PEARL Awards are a fact-based corporate award, with winners selected through rigorous analysis of data from the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as validated by an independent technical committee.
Since its inception, it has recognised leading companies in banking, manufacturing, oil and gas, and telecommunications, among others, earning a reputation for independence.
The 30th anniversary programme began in June with the PEARL Awards Corporate Summit, themed ‘Built to Last, Roadmap for Corporate Nigeria’. The summit brought together regulators, CEOs and investors and featured the launch of the publication, ‘Winning Strategies of Nigeria’s Corporate Giants’, a compendium of insights from top executives.
As it enters its fourth decade, the PEARL Awards is preparing to expand its impact.
According to Orekoya, the organisation will deepen research capabilities, increase stakeholder engagement and incorporate new performance dimensions such as sustainability and innovation.
