SAHCO Aviation, Sifax SAHCO Travels, RwandAir and Leisure Republic have launched a premium Kenya travel experience aimed at promoting seamless intra-African tourism and business networking.
At the unveiling in Lagos at the weekend, Sifax SAHCO said the deal would redefine African leisure travel by offering curated, comfortable and premium experiences tailored for high-value travellers from Nigeria and beyond.
Managing Director, Sifax SAHCO Travels, Damilola Ajayi, said the Kenya tour was designed to make travel in Africa more seamless, affordable and memorable, while encouraging Africans to explore destinations within the continent.
Ajayi said Africa remained largely underexplored by Africans, despite its rich culture, natural beauty and hospitality.
“It is unfortunate that Africa has not been able to explore African countries as much as other people from other continents. We are coming with a programme that is well-blended with culture, luxury and premium services.
The Managing Director of SAHCO Aviation, Olaniyi Adigun, said the company’s participation in the initiative aligned with its commitment to supporting aviation-related ventures beyond ground handling.
He noted that SAHCO Aviation intended to sustain the programme long-term, with plans already underway for summer and December editions, saying sustainability is a core value of the organisation.
“We intend to sustain this programme for a long time. We are known for sustainability. It is our culture. We have a tour for the summer and even December, which will be unveiled later.
“We also intend to tell our tourists the business opportunities in and outside the country, which they can key into. This is a new dimension for us in the aviation and tourism industry in Nigeria and we hope to sustain it,” he said.
Managing Director of Leisure Republic, Michael Kadiri, described the tour as the launch of a new standard of premium African travel.
He disclosed that the Kenya tour would be held in two batches from April 2–8 and April 8–14, with about 150 tourists, evenly split across both batches.
Kadiri added that future destinations would prioritise African countries with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access as part of a deliberate push for Africa-to-Africa travel.
Regional Manager, West and Central Africa, RwandAir, Ginette Kadigiri, said the airline was proud to serve as the official carrier of the tour.
