‘Why we’re expanding connectivity across key West African states’ – Air Peace

Air Peace said the expansion of its regional flight operations across West Africa is part of efforts to strengthen connectivity and facilitate trade within the sub-region.

The airline, in a statement yesterday by its Spokesman, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, said Air Peace’s expanded services would take effect from April 1, 2026.

He explained that the essence is also aimed at improving travel links between major West African capitals, including Lagos, Abidjan, Dakar, Banjul, Accra, Monrovia and Freetown.

According to him, under the new schedule, the carrier would operate flights on the Lagos–Abidjan–Dakar–Banjul route and return service Banjul–Dakar–Abidjan–Lagos on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The outbound flight would depart Lagos at 07:00, arriving in Abidjan at 07:50, before continuing to Dakar at 08:30 and landing at 11:30. The service would proceed to Banjul at 12:10, arriving at 13:00.

He added that the return leg would depart Banjul at 13:40 for Dakar, arriving 14:30, before departing Dakar at 15:10 for Abidjan, arriving 18:10, while the final leg would leave Abidjan at 18:50 and arrive in Lagos at 21:40.

Air Peace would also operate the Lagos–Abidjan–Dakar and Dakar–Abidjan–Lagos route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The service would depart Lagos at 07:00, arriving Abidjan at 07:50, before continuing to Dakar at 08:30 and arriving at 11:30.

The return flight would depart Dakar at 12:10, arriving Abidjan at 15:10, and departing Abidjan at 15:50 to arrive Lagos at 18:40.

Air Peace would also operate flights on the Lagos–Accra–Monrovia route and return service Monrovia–Accra–Lagos on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The flight would depart Lagos at 08:00, arriving Accra at 08:05, before departing for Monrovia at 08:45 and landing at 10:45, he said.

The return service would depart Monrovia at 11:25, arriving in Accra at 13:25, and departing Accra at 14:05 for Lagos, arriving at 16:10.

Similarly, flights on the Lagos–Accra–Freetown route and return Freetown–Accra–Lagos would operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while the flight would depart Lagos at 08:00, arriving Accra at 08:05, before continuing to Freetown at 08:45 and arriving at 11:35.

According to the airline, the new schedules are designed to improve connectivity across key West African capitals, enabling passengers to travel more efficiently within the region while connecting seamlessly through its primary hub in Lagos.

The expansion also formed part of its strategy to position Lagos as a major regional aviation hub linking West and Central Africa to global destinations.
