Wi-PAY Technologies said the development of innovative electronic payment solutions will enhance service delivery, as well as define the future of e-commerce in the country.

Besides, the company has reiterated the need for forum where developments in payments space and innovative ideas are showcased, as a way of bringing manufacturers, buyers and consumers together.

The Head of Corporate Services of the company, Mrs. Helen Okocha, said Wi-Pay would be participating in the forthcoming Digital Africa conference and exhibition holding in Abuja from June 1 to 3, 2016.

“These platforms will serve as unique opportunities to establish a strong presence of our business and meet new customers,” she said.

Okocha also said that the company will be participating in the CardExpo Africa exhibition organised by Intermarc Consulting Limited in conjunction with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from June 14 to 16, 2016, in Lagos.

This exhibition, she noted, will focus on the future of retail payment and e-commerce and how innovation will drive the process as well as service delivery strategy that will define the future of retail payments and e-commerce in the country.

The Chairman of Digital Africa, Dr. Evans Woherem, also pointed out that the three-day event “will connect manufacturers with buyers and consumers by introducing new innovations into the consumer technology market.

“It will also provide media support to ensure global visibility for displayed products and services.”

The Head of Operations/Information Technology of Wi-Pay, Charles Ighedo, said the range of products and services targeted at the exhibition are the Wi-Pay Mobile App (Wi-App) and online payment portal (www.paybills.wipay.com).

Others are Point of Sale/Mobile Point of Sale for retail merchants; e-Payroll, e-Pension and e-Bulk payment services.
