Govt to clamp down on depot owners for diversion of products

FOLLOWING alleged diversion of petroleum products by many depot owners in the Lagos axis, the Minister of States for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, yesterday said the Federal Government would clamp down on erring depot operators.

He added that government would also set up a panel to investigate the diversion of the products as part of plans to checkmate the cabal hoarding fuel.

However, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), yesterday said inadequate planning was responsible for the perennial fuel scarcity in the country.
