
A partnership between Plateau State Polytechnic and Apurimac Onlus Nigeria, holds a lot of benefits for students of the state.Rector of the institution, Mr. Dauda Gyemang, who spoke during a one-day workshop organised by the human capital development firm for Students’ Union Government (SUG) officials and National Association of Plateau State Students (NAPSS), reaffirmed the institution’s readiness to rightly equip the future leaders.
Gyemang, represented by his deputy, Mr. James Julson, said the institution would do everything within its power to ensure that the students maximise the benefits of the partnership.
He said the school accepted the partnership as sought by the non-governmental organisation (NGO), because it offers courses on conflict management and peace studies.

Applauding the efforts of the NGO for touching the lives of young ones in the state, through peace and leadership training, the rector assured that whatever the participants learnt would be of immense benefit to other students and the society at large.
Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adekunle Oladunjaye, who was represented by Mr. Azenda Son Peter, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), commended the firm for its significant contribution towards promoting peace among the citizenry.
Country director of the firm, Mr. Godwin Okoko, said the purpose of the workshop was to enhance and build capacity of the participants on conflict resolution and leadership issues.
He maintained that his organisation would not disappoint the polytechnic in training its students and prayed for a stronger partnership with the institution.
