The Ruth Titilayo Foundation has officially announced the opening of applications for its 2025 undergraduate scholarship programme for financially disadvantaged students in Nigeria’s public universities.
The scholarship scheme is designed to ease the burden of tuition and related costs, enabling recipients to focus on their studies and complete their education successfully.
According to the foundation, the support package includes a tuition allowance of up to ₦100,000 and a maintenance allowance of up to ₦20,000.
The scholarship may also provide additional discretionary funding for critical academic expenses such as internal travel, research, and fieldwork.
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a Nigerian public tertiary institution and must have successfully completed their first year of study.
They are also required to hold a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent).
In addition, candidates must demonstrate a record of academic excellence, provide clear evidence of financial need, and be under the age of 25 at the time of application.
The foundation has set 31 October 2025 as the deadline for all applications. Shortlisted candidates will be notified from 11 November 2025, with follow-up interviews scheduled for December.
Final awards will be granted to successful applicants after the interview stage.
Prospective students are directed to the official Ruth Titilayo Foundation website to access the application portal and review the full details.
