The Transmission Company of Nigeriante (TCN) has announced that its mainance crew will carry out scheduled maintenance on one of its 60MVA power transformers at the Bauchi 132/33kV Transmission Substation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday.
The power firm, in a statement issued on Monday, assured the residents that there would be no power loss during the course of the maintenance.
“During this period, there will be no load loss. This means that bulk power supply to Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) will not be interrupted, as consumer load on the said transformer will be transferred to another transformer, that is, the third 60MVA transformer in the substation, capable of carrying the load on the transformer scheduled for maintenance,” the statement read in part.
TCN further noted that no area under the JEDC’s franchise taking supply from the said transformer would be affected during the maintenance period, adding that normal bulk power would be made available to JEDC.
It also reiterated its commitment to prompt equipment maintenance for optimal service delivery.
