Odedina bags Ogun’s best commissioner of the year

Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, has been recognised as the most outstanding commissioner of the year 2021. The award presentation formed part of activities marking the Gateway News Update, a community newspaper’s 16th anniversary celebration held the Valley-View auditorium, Isale-Igbein, Abeokuta.

Presenting the award, the publisher of the newspaper, Mr. Tunde Malaolu, said his organisation decided to honour some personalities in the state based on their outstanding feats in their various areas of influence, where they were blazing trails. 

Lending her credence, a one-time Head of Ogun State Civil Service, who is currently the Commissioner, Lagos-Ogun Commission and a member, Federal Civil Service Commission, Abuja, Princess Iyabode Odulate, said though she does know Dr. Odedina in person, she abreast of his achievements and so deserves to be recognised and honoured.

Represented by the Director of Livestock, Mr. Tunji Oshilalu, the commissioner was awarded alongside several others like Mrs Iyabo Odulate, who was also the guest lecturer, who bagged  Woman of the Year Award, Chairman, Hospital Management Board; Dr. Isiaq Kunle Salako, who bagged outstanding board chairman’s award; and outstanding permanent secretaries awards went to Mrs Yetunde Dina of Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, as well as Engr. (Dr) Yusuf Oladimeji of Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
