‘Approving diagnosis courses will help reduce misdiagnosis’
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fitplus Health Care (FHC), Dr. Ahmed Omilana has said one of the ways to reduce misdiagnosis in the healthcare sector is for government to approve diagnosis courses.
He lamented that there are few health workers in Nigeria that have knowledge of diagnosis services to come up with accurate results after diagnoses are made.
Omilana stated this at the unveiling of prime digital healthcare systems and infrastructures. The company also used the occasion to formally open its ultra-modern FHC complex.
He said his organization, as a frontline pathology laboratory, was committed to strengthening the diagnostics sub-sector with latest sophisticated facilities, which hold the master key to saving the country’s health sector.
“Our corporate goals and underlying philosophy are building opportunities for the growth and development of the industry and harnessing potentials in the national economy. This is underscored by FHC commitment and patriotic zeal to shaping the future of digital medical diagnosis in Nigeria.
“The upgrade of facilities is a commitment to optimising the standard of care by staying connected to the demand of our patients and medical practitioners. We will go extra mile in delivering technology driven healthcare system with accuracy, quality and value.”
