Cars45 has sealed a pact with the Lagos State chapter of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), to enhance and boost the sale of used cars in the country.

Operators of the buying and selling platform for Nigerian used cars said the partnership was borne out of the need to ensure both parties mutually synchronise their operations to the benefit of customers.

The relationship will provide platform for Cars45 to directly address NATA state officers, chapters and units at organised workshops directly.

Speaking at the ceremony to sign the pact in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer, Cars45, Etop Ikpe, said NATA is a key stakeholder with the automobile industry and the company’s objective is to continually engage in partnerships that provide value across the value chain.

Ikpe said: “Our business is beyond providing a platform for Nigerians to sell their cars. The goal is to provide a conducive transaction environment by leveraging the technical expertise and distribution network of NATA technicians across the country.”

According to him the used car market keeps growing and the demand for the Cars45 service has evolved even more over the last year. The partnership with NATA comes at a good time, as Cars45 plans to expand and transform the currently fragmented automotive ecosystem to offer support across all the automobile trade, repair and verification services.

This partnership also strengthens the brands reach, with the help of NATA officials directly referring and earning a percentage of the car value when purchased through Cars45.

State Chairman, NATA, Julius Lawal, reaffirmed the associations’ commitment to the pact, saying it would open more doors for NATA members, in terms of training and job opportunities.

Head, Commercial Operations and Marketing, Cars45, Mayokun Fadeyibi, said: “Our business is cars and we are working towards a transformation of the used autos industry in Nigeria. Our major goal is to make the business of car buying and car selling seamless for every Nigeria and we are working towards an optimisation of every touch point in the user journey. We are excited about this partnership and we look forward to continually meeting our users’ needs.
