Mikano Motors, Changan unveil new models
Mikano Motors has hosted an unforgettable evening of automotive excellence and elegance at the Changan Festive Night ‘24.
This exclusive event, which took place in Lagos, marked the grand unveiling of two premium Changan models: the all-new luxurious CS95 and the sleek and versatile X7 Plus, setting new standards for automotive distinction in Nigeria.
Speaking at the unveiling, National Operations Manager, MIKANO Motors, Syam Abdulkadir, stated that with all the models that MIKANO Motors introduces, it always looks at what is required within the market. According to him, with these two models, the company tries to look at its lineup what it offers and which segment of the Nigerian market it hasn’t provided a solution for.
“So, with the CS95 and the X7PLUS, we are providing seven-seater SUVs that fit both the midsize and the luxury SUVs. That’s what we hope to achieve with these two models. In addressing the specific needs of Nigerians, you are looking at a family SUV that is both more of an affordable family size to a luxury SUV. We don’t just look at drivers, we look at the needs of everyone”, he said.
While explaining the rationale behind the innovation, Omar Karameh, Executive Director, MIKANO International, reiterated that the most important thing for MIKANO Motors and its sub-divisions is reliability and durability, saying that is the main thing the company takes pride in.
“As of now, most of our vehicles contain a 5-year warranty, and we plan to continue with that sort of quality, and we don’t have a compromise on quality. We will continue to do promotions, bring brand ambassadors, and new influencers,” he explained.
Also giving insight into the target audience, Head of Marketing, MIKANO International Motors, Karima Okunola, clarified that the cars are targeted towards corporate executives and people with small and large families.
In her words: “For the CS95, our target audience is the executives and also people with large families. The X7 Plus is a bit smaller, so it is perfect for families with small kids who can sit at the back, leaving ample space for the family to travel together. So they are the primary target.
“The CS95 is an executive-looking car with a classic design. It will appeal to people in the corporate world and people with large families who like comfort. It’s a very comfortable and luxurious car like all our other cars. So corporate executives are the main target for the CS95.”
Sales Director, African Region, Changan Automobile, Ms Stephanie Wang, highlighted the innovative features of the vehicles, their parts distribution plans for shorter lead times, guaranteeing parts availability, and the successful partnership with Mikano Motors.
The CEO of Mikano International, Nidal Karameh, reflected on the company’s legacy of over three decades, encompassing six thriving divisions, highlighting the importance of innovation and quality.
