Stallion Group to expand operations, investments in Nigeria

The attempt by the Federal Government to ensure the survival, growth and sustainable development of the Nigerian automotive industry using local human and material resources has received a new commitment as the Stallion Group has promised to expand its operations and investments in Nigeria.

According to a report by United Arab Emirates’ Globe Newswire, the Chairman of the organization Sunil Vaswani said, “Stallion Group is well poised to expand its operations and investments in the Nigerian Automobile value chain and the other West African markets in the coming years.”

The group which assemblies Ashok Leylend buses and trucks in Nigeria has also been awarded Africa’s Best Performer for the year 2014-2015 by the Ashok Leyland group.

The group also promise commitment to the Federal Government’s Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) system by providing training and maintenance facilities for commercial vehicles and complements the government’s efforts to enhance public transportation systems in Nigeria.

The brands assembled at the complex include Nissan, Hyundai, Volkswagen and IVECO apart from Ashok Leyland. Ashok Leyland are the 2nd largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India, the 4th largest manufacturer of buses in the world and the 16th largest manufacturer of trucks globally.
