A new brand of skin care products, Topicrem, has berthed in the Nigerian market to address skin related diseases. Chief Executive Officer, Jauf Health and Beauty International, Mr. Joseph Udeh, the sole distributor of the range of skin care products from France, explained that the brand has been carefully formulated to address all kinds of skin related problems including baby skin.

Udeh said that before the introduction of the product into the Nigerian market, the manufacturer had conducted a survey of the Nigerian economy in a bid to subsidize the price to make the products affordable to the common man.

He said, “Topicrem is a dermatological brand that cuts across all age groups ranging from new babies, youths and adults because it has been designed for everyone to benefit from. The company has taken into cognizance safety, effectiveness and comfort.”

According to him, the product has been tested and certified by international dermatologist across the globe, saying that as the sole distributor in Nigeria, his mission is to take the quality brand to all leading supermarkets and pharmacies in Nigeria and the West African markets.

According to him, “Our flagship product which is the ultra moisturizing body milk takes care of unwanted dry cells and it is our goal to make this brand the number one preparation in Nigeria and the entire West Africa. It helps to ensure 24-hour hydration. We also have the massage oil for babies to ensure penetration and softness of the skin. We also have products that can be used to repair damaged skin and many more are all available in the stable of Topicrem.”

He said plans are underway to exhibit the products during the 25th anniversary of National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control [NAFDAC] which he said would also serve as an endorsement by the regulatory body to declare the brand fit for the Nigerian market.

He called on the federal government to subsidize import duties on pharmaceutical products to give the product the necessary push into the Nigerian economy, stressing that the benefits of Topicrem brands outweigh costs.
