She explained that the aim is to improve the overall well-being of people in the community. The foundation was established to honour the life and values of the Late Isaiah Olufemi Elugbaju.
“The inaugural Medical Mission holds special significance as it coincides with the 10th memorial anniversary of Isaiah Olufemi Elugbaju. It is an opportunity for the foundation to give back to the community in a meaningful way, embodying the compassion and service that he exemplified throughout his life.
“By providing accessible healthcare services, we aim to honour his memory and inspire others to contribute to the welfare of their communities,” Elugbaju added.
Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District VI, Dr Abimbola Mabogunde, who commended the initiative, noted that it would alleviate the financial burden on residents with chronic illnesses.
Also speaking, a paediatrician, Dr Uche Nwachukwu, emphasised the importance of early detection and treatment.
“Apart from helping to screen for diabetes, sugar check, check for hypertension and general checkup. For those who need to have further treatments, we can direct them,” he added.
