Greensprings partner Flutterwave to offer internship to students
Buoyed by the rising impact of technology in all spheres of life, Greensprings Educational Service is collaborating with Flutterwave firm to offer internship to its students.
The partnership, according to the school’s Director of Education, Ms. Helen Brocklesby, gives its Year 11 students the opportunity to get hands-on experience with latest technology applications for a period of four weeks.
This, Brocklesby said, is meant to equip the soon-to-be graduates of the school with the requisite skills needed for the global job market.
She said, “The technological growth has created an increased demand for technology-related jobs such as software developer, computer security analyst, data scientist, software engineering, and digital marketing, thus students must be prepared to participate actively in these fields.
“As an institution that is constantly redefining education in Africa, we are partnering with a leading fintech firm in Nigeria, Flutterwave to provide internship opportunities for interested students. Greensprings, is a technology-driven school, and we are constantly seeking ways to ensure that our children are well-prepared for the technology jobs of the future.
Managing Director of Flutterwave, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, while expressing satisfaction with the success of the internship’s maiden edition, said, “working with students from Greensprings was a wonderful experience.
The partnership between Greensprings and Flutterwave is expected to add value to the economy of Nigeria and Africa, because the internship programme exposes young leaders to global ground-breaking technology, Aboyeji added.
