The Provost, CMUL, Prof. Ademola Oremosu, congratulated the newly inducted radiographers and charged them to remain purpose-driven, focused, and resilient as they embark on their professional journey.
“You must find something you are passionate about, set realisable goals, and continually improve yourself through training and retraining,” he advised.
Delivering the keynote address, Diagnostic Radiographer, Mrs. Kudirat Lawal-Adeshina, urged the inductees to embrace innovation and mentorship as critical drivers of excellence in the evolving healthcare landscape.
“You must deploy your energy in the right direction. Be disciplined and dedicated. Be willing to open yourself up for mentorship,” she said.
Encouraging leadership and responsibility, she added that commitment and dedication to service would distinguish them and position them for greater opportunities.
Also speaking, the Dean, Faculty of Health Professions, Prof. Bosede A. Tela, reminded the graduates of the ethical responsibilities attached to their professional oath.
“As you take your professional oath today, remember that the hallmarks of a great healthcare professional are compassion, empathy, integrity, and ethical conduct. Patients entrusted to your care are often vulnerable. You must provide assurance, dignity, and respect to every patient,” she stated.
She further emphasised strict adherence to safety principles and the application of justification in professional practice.
