The Katsina State Government has entered into a partnership with EHA Clinics to improve access to quality and affordable healthcare across the state.
EHA Clinics disclosed this in a statement on Thursday following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both parties on Tuesday, April 22, in Asokoro, Abuja.
Present at the signing were Governor Dikko Umar Radda, his Chief of Staff Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Commissioner for Health Hon Musa Adamu Funtua, Executive Secretary of the Primary Health Care Board, Dr Shamsuddeen Yahaya, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs and Development Partners, Barrister Maryam Sodangi.
The agreement is part of a broader move to accelerate universal health coverage across Katsina and will see EHA Clinics manage selected Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) using its REACH Clinics model.
The partnership will also involve recruiting and training frontline health workers, deploying digital health tools, and improving healthcare service delivery, particularly at the grassroots.
Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Shamsuddeen Yahaya, was quoted as saying the agreement aligns with the state government’s push to improve community-based care.
“This MoU is coming at a time when the state government is investing significant resources to ensure we have one functional PHC per ward,” he said.
Vice President of Business Development at EHA Clinics, Abdulkareem Iyamu, also confirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting the government through technology and innovation.
“We’re proud to enter into a Public-Private Partnership with the Katsina State Government to build a more inclusive and resilient healthcare system,” he said.
“Through this collaboration, we will not only digitise care processes but also use advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence to improve health outcomes, reduce costs, and bring lifesaving services closer to the people who need them most, which aligns with His Excellency’s vision.”
EHA Clinics added that it has invested in digital clinical guidelines, predictive diagnostic tools, and feedback systems for efficient healthcare delivery. The plan also includes linking patient enrolment with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
The Katsina State Government will provide infrastructure support through its ongoing PHC revitalisation programme, while the Katsina State Contributory Health Management Agency (KTSCHMA) will drive community engagement and enrolment.
EHA Clinics said it remains committed to supporting governments across Nigeria in building data-driven, people-centred health systems.
