In a bid to improve its healthcare offering to the people living in the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State and its environs, St. Emmanuel Hospital has recently launched its upgraded clinical laboratory to offer improved medical diagnostic care.
The improved laboratory now offers automated testing in haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, kidney profile, liver profile, cardiac markers, and much more.
This project, launched in collaboration with ISN Medical, is expected to help improve health outcomes both for the hospital patients and walk-in or referral patients by reducing diagnostic timeframe and errors.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ISN Medical, Sunil Agarwal, told journalists, at the launch, that diagnostic care provides a basis for proper healthcare decisions and delays or errors can lead to unnecessary stress, financial loss, and, in extreme cases, death. Agarwal said St. Emmanuel Hospital Laboratory will provide quality diagnostic testing to patients at affordable rates.
Agarwal expressed his excitement at the opportunity to partner with St. Emmanuel Hospital to set up the laboratory with best-in-class equipment and designed to provide results that meet the highest quality standards possible. He appreciated the doctors for taking the right initiative to improve their diagnostic care output which is in the best interest of the patients.
Administrator of the Hospital, Mr. Dotun Akinrinade, said, founded in 1975 by Dr. Emmanuel Akinrinade, St. Emmanuel Hospital boasts of over 40 years of quality healthcare services to the people living within its locality. He said the hospital is located off Osolo Way, Isolo, Lagos, and that the improved laboratory is in keeping with the founder’s legacy of making quality and affordable healthcare available to the good people of Lagos State.
“We are happy to be carrying on Dr. Akinrinade’s legacy of excellence. Our desire is for people living within and around Oshodi-Isolo LGA. can have access to immediate and quality healthcare services at affordable rates,” he said.
Akinrinade said St. Emmanuel Hospital Laboratory has been remodelled and equipped by ISN Medical through their Laboratory Consulting service and in keeping with the organisation’s mission to give healthcare practitioners and patients peace of mind through innovative medical diagnostic solutions.
He said some of the brands represented in this project include Beckman Coulter (automated haematology), ROCHE (automated clinical chemistry, cardiac markers, coagulation, etc.), and Merck (distilled and de-ionised water).
