The Isi Benedicta Institute (IBI), a faith-based institute that offers a wide array of courses geared towards building up Christians in every aspect of life, has graduated the first cohort of its Go School programme in 2025.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, in Lagos, the Dean of Faculty, Sandrah Namwaya, explained that the institute is an e-learning platform founded in 2020 with the mandate to retrain minds.
She disclosed that the institute has trained more than 1,000 students across continents, adding that the courses offered by the institute are leadership based and spiritually tailored to develop the students.
“Go School is one of the programmes that we offer. It is an in-person programme. It happens in cohorts. So, the first cohort in 2025 actually held in Lagos, Nigeria. The students flew in from different parts of the world to take this course for nine days. It has five modules, which different faculty members train the students on.
“One of the things inspiring about Go School is that it comes from the scripture – ‘Go ye into all nations’. So, it is a programme that launches students into nations to take territories. So, whether they are in the medical field, banking sector or in government, they are equipped with the knowledge and information to advance into the nations from a thorough understanding of what the structure of a nation is for a leader,” she said.
One of the facilitators, Linda Obodo, also emphasised that Go School was founded to equip people to be effective in every area of work and life with the understanding that God has equipped man with all he would ever need to thrive.
“Even though the programme has a religious background, we are very business minded. We are looking at certain scriptural principles to build the students to know that wherever they go, they have been sent to build systems and society,” she said.
In her charge to the graduating students, the Chancellor of Isi Benedicta Institute, Apostle Isi Igenegba, implored the students to forget their past and ride with faith as they seek to harness God’s plans for their lives.
She said: “Always remember that someone is sending you and He is the master of the universe. Until you get to this point, this will just be a certificate that will gather dust in your library or somewhere.
“You have to get to the point where you tell yourself that you are going to do it and be like Esther in the bible who declared, ‘If I perish, I perish’. Don’t bother about failures. If you fall, get up and keep going. That is where I am now in life; I am not bothered. Until you get there, you will be able to explain your victories but victory that cannot be explained is not yet powerful.
“Ride on grace; ride with faith. Forget about where you are coming from. Whether you have made mistakes doesn’t matter anymore from today. You have now become a participator in the beauty that is being put together concerning your life. Participate wisely; join the Lord. He says go into the world; go into all the systems. My prayer for you is that you will indeed go.”
Speaking on behalf of the students, the class valedictorian, Mr. Adeboye Fowora, commended the management and staff of IBI for the opportunity, assuring that they are well prepared to positively impact lives and the society.
“Go is in three parts – to create, to teach and to cast out. That is what we are going to do,” he said.
