The first ever Sports Utility Vehicle to be produced by Jaguar Land Rover has finally hit markets in Africa.

The vehicle was launched in Cape Town, South Africa on Wednesday.

Authorised dealer of the vehicle in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors said official unveil of the car, which has become the manufacturer’s fastest-selling, has been planned to take place in Lagos during an exclusive dinner organised as opening ceremony for event partners of the yearly TECH+ Conference & Expo later this month.

The vehicle, which is likely to go for N27 million in Nigeria has received more than 14,000 orders in the first 10 months on sale, with all 2,000 first edition sold out across the world.

After the launch, customers who would have indicated interest during the event would have opportunity to test-drive the vehicle, the brand’s Marketing Manager, Aregbeshola Cletus said.

Cletus claimed that the SUV is Jaguar’s first performance crossover and its lightweight body structure comprises 80 per cent aluminium, adding that It is the only aluminium-intensive design in its sector.

Manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull Plant in the UK, F-PACE is the third vehicle built from Jaguar’s Advanced Lightweight Aluminium Architecture.

“F-PACE will be the Ultimate Practical Sports Car, competing directly against the Porsche Macan and BMW X4”, Cletus stated.
