Udofia noted the country under President Muhammadu Buhari’s leadership is adding an impetus to its desire for positive change. He called on Nigerians, irrespective of their ethnicity, political and religious leanings, to give effective support to the Buhari’s administration in its endeavour to breathe a new life into the country and its citizens.
He said, “I’m appealing to President Buhari to learn from the mistakes of the past and ensure that he is not shielded from the reality of the quality of life being led by the toiling masses. As a man of the people, willingly elected by the people, President Buhari must embark on a deliberate chain of actions to make life better for the generality of Nigerians.”
He noted that the church, which was founded in 1901, like any other institution, has witnessed cloudy sessions, but the congregation has continued to witness growth, peace and happiness.
“We must praise the God Almighty that has not only made The African Church one of the oldest Christian denominations in our land, but it has also pleased Him to make this church so alert to its responsibility.
“We have always played laudable role in the lives of individuals and in the socio-economic and spiritual life our country. Now is the dawn of a new nomenclature of the church administration based on provincial grouping. It is a dawn of hope with particular reference to The African Church Cathedral Bethel as The Arch Cathedral Province; a dawn of a new faith in its capacity to be greater as the premier cathedral and a dawn of unity and brotherliness,” he said.
