In commemoration of the Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW), members of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) are expected to dissect role of public relations in food security.
Themed, ‘Nigeria’s food security: From policy paper to public plate – The imperative of Public Relations,’ over 2,000 delegates are expected to attend the week-long event in Kaduna State.
The event will hold from April 19 to 25, 2026 and will convene global PR experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to examine how strategic communication can bridge the gap between policy formulation and real impact on citizens’ dining tables.
Kaduna State Commissioner for Information Mallam Ahmed Maiyaki, while receiving members of the National Planning Committee, led by Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, described choice of the state as a welcome development.
He added Kaduna’s selection is a strong external validation of its governance model where improved security, agricultural revitalisation, and strategic communication are converging to drive sustainable growth.
To him, “this is not just a conference on food security. It is a conference hosted by a state actively demonstrating measurable progress.”
NPRW is the flagship national event of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), created to drive strategic dialogue and promote sustainable national development.
Rebranded in 2024 from the NIPR Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting, NPRW convenes leaders from government, business, academia, civil society, and the media to address issues of national importance through strategic communication.
