Woman, 21, on trial for N800,000 theft
A 21-year-old woman, Omowunmi Kasali, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ikorodu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, over the alleged theft of N800,000.
Kasali, whose address was not given, is facing a count charge of stealing, to which she, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, ASP Christian Okonofua, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Jan. 8 at about 10.15 p.m. at Ifesowapo Street, Ganiu Estate, Igbo-Olomu in Agric area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
Okonofua said that the defendant stole the sum of N800,000 belonging to the complainant, Enome Boluwatife.

He said that the offence contravened Sections 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Magistrate A.O. Shotobi admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000, with two sureties in like sum.
Shotobi adjourned the case till Feb. 6 for mention.
