The Mufasir, Ilogbo Asowo Central Mosque, Alhaji Jimoh Oyekunle, who was among the turbannees at the ceremony, pointed out the need for Muslim leaders to vigorously propagate Islam and promote peace among Muslims and others religious believers in the community through thought-provoking lectures.

He promised to aid the Islamic activities in the society, urging Nigerians to continue to endure and be very prayerful in other to overcome the prevailing economic and political challenges.

“It happened during the era of the holy prophet (SWA), but he was steadfast and victorious at the end of the day. We need to emulate the prophet (SAW) and be steadfast at this critical time to ensure that circumstances does not affect our faith,” he said.

Oyekunle said the turbanning committee worked relentlessly and followed due process in sceening the new tittle holders, whom he said are good ambassadors of Islam and are verry keen to participate in every regious activities.

He said the new regime has expressed commitmet change the face of Ilogbo Central Mosque and ensure the beatification of the edifce as well as implemeting other programmes that would spur the Muslims in the area.

Oyekunle decried the spate of bombings perpetrated by the Boko Harram, stating that Islam forbades terrorism and all acts of sabatage. He urged President Mohammed Buhari further equip the security opratives to combat terrorits who are distabilising the polity.

The Arogbabuwo Alasalatu of Ilogbo, Alhaja Zainab Fasasi Afariogun, said Islam is priotised in the community while peace and tranquility is reigning among the indigenes and residence of Ilogboland.

She said the women folk were determined to propagate Islam, urging them to intesify efforts at promoting the religion. She further enjoined them to obey thier husbands as stipulated in the holy Quran.
