Former President of Ikeja Lioness Club, Chief (Mrs) Olufunke Arthur-Worrey has been slated to chair the 2025 Archdeaconry Women Praise Day, an annual event dedicated to celebrating the faithfulness of God, on September 25, 2025, at St. Paul’s Church, Breadfruit, Lagos.
This year’s programme, according to the organisers will feature updates on its outreach initiatives of support for five indigent pupils and a visually impaired student of Queen’s College, Yaba, Lagos as well as a homeless woman under the group’s care.
The programme provides a platform for women to reflect on the Archdeaconry’s activities, review its progress, and explore ways to expand. This year’s theme is “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
The event which will be chaired by Chief (Mrs.) Funke Arthur Worrey, also has Lady Abike Ogundeyi serving as Co-Chairperson. Several other distinguished guests and dignitaries are also expected to attend.
Its organisers noted that given the current economic challenges and rising costs of essential goods, sustaining its initiatives of helping the less privileged has become increasingly difficult.
“Yet, we remain steadfast in faith, trusting God to provide and guide us.”
