The SHE Global Awards 2025 has recognised Egungbohun Omolara, also known as Lara Dende, for her contributions to business and leadership.
The theme, “The Lipstick Force,” celebrated women who embody both strength and grace in their pursuits.
Omolara, the founder of IBD International Hotels, was named the ‘Most Promising Founder of The Year Over 30’. She emerged as the second runner-up in a competitive field featuring hundreds of exceptional women in the Nigerian business landscape.
In a statement by IBD, it was stated that as a businesswoman, Omolara excelled in the hospitality industry and made significant contributions to her community through philanthropy.
“The IBD Foundation, co-founded by Omolara, has touched countless lives, restoring hope and lifting hundreds of thousands out of poverty.
“Omolara’s commitment to giving back to her community is evident in her recent initiatives. During the Lenten season, she and her team distributed food packages to Christian communities in Yewa land, a gesture she also extended during the Ramadan fast. Her compassion and dedication to humanity have earned her a reputation as a leader who prioritises the well-being of others.”
