prominent Islamic scholars have described the Quranic education as complete guidance to human success in life and in the hereafter, hence, they call on parents to give utmost priority to Quranic knowledge of their children.

The Chief Imam, Al-Ameen Central Mosque and Founder of Modrasat Da’awatul Islamiyat, Alhaji Jamiu Ololade Salisu, among other scholars disclosed this at the Waleemat Quran ceremony of the school in Lagos.

Ololade said Al-Quran is an antidote for all body and soul ailments, once such fellow believes in it and the creator of heaven and earth- Allah.

He therefore enjoined parents to consider Quranic study as critical aspect of life, even as they struggle to equip their children of western education.

According to him, “Quranic study supersedes western education and therefore should be given utmost priority,”

He charged the public officials to indulge the fear of Allah and do justice to people and resources at their disposal, as emphasised in the holy Quran.

The Founder of Daar Tahleem Wal Irshad, Mukadam Fatai Yususf Jetemiodara, likened the holy Quran to a detailed manual established to guide the activities of human in the righteous manner.

Jetemiodara said reading of many books authored by different school of thoughts can change human’s orientation but the Quran would always cleanse the soul and position such reader for a better place in heaven.

According to him, frequent recitation of the holy Quran would purify the corrupted soul and elevate such person on earth and in the hereafter.

Another scholar and Principal at Darul Hiqma Wal Irshad, (Aboru) Alhaji Issa Abdul-Azeez said Al-Quran intimates human’s relations with Allah and promotes cordial relationship among men.

“All Muslims must study and have deep understanding of Quran to be able to secure an abode in heaven,” he said.

Abdul-Azeez raised concern that Nigeria is a circula society therefore poses threat to the believers due to some corrupt tendencies of others. However, he believed that the faithful believers can never be intimidated by such threats because the knowledge of Al Quran would guide and lead the faith of such believer.
