A non-governmental organisation, plans to launch a campaign called Art4Health to raise money for persons battling chronic illnesses. The campaign, according to its organisers, intends to leverage the power of creativity and healthcare advocacy to raise N100 million under a fund called the Cancer and Chronic Care Fund (CCCF) for the care of low and middle-income Nigerians, who struggle to afford life-saving treatments.

The campaign will feature an exhibition in Ikoyi in Lagos and feature works from celebrated artists, including Ife Olowu, The Painting Prophet, Rosaleen Labazzachy, and 4d Truth.

According to them, proceeds from the event will be managed to ensure sustainability, and offer relief but lasting change for Nigeria’s healthcare landscape.

“Each piece tells a story of resilience, hope, and humanity, capturing the profound connection between art and healing. The exhibition aims to raise ₦100 million to provide discounted care and co-payment assistance for 100 Nigerians facing chronic illnesses in 2025,” the group said.

According to Health4Moni, Art has long been a medium of expression, capable of stirring deep emotions and inspiring collective action and the Art4Health campaign builds on this legacy, offering a platform where creativity and compassion intersect.

“Each brushstroke, each piece on display, carries a message: No one should have to choose between health and financial survival.

“This initiative is a bold statement of what is possible when communities come together to confront shared challenges. It underscores the belief that everyone deserves a chance to live with dignity, regardless of their economic circumstances,” it added.

Its founder, Kemi Olakunle, started her career by volunteering as a Physician’s Assistant in rural Nigeria to being recognised as a 2024 Bayer Foundation Awardee, which reflects her unwavering commitment to creating solutions for those in need.

“Our intervention is to reduce the financial burden associated with seeking medical care,” she added. Health4Moni is a health-tech social enterprise focused on providing affordable, quality healthcare for underserved Nigerians. Through innovative financing models and strategic collaborations, the organisation is tackling the systemic barriers to healthcare access, empowering individuals to lead healthier, more secure lives.
