THE new Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration (ACGI), Mr. Musa Maza, has warned officers and men of the service in Lagos area to save the image of the service by desisting from corrupt acts. He warned that anyone found flouting the matching order of the Comptroller General of Immigration, Mr. Martins Abeshi, would be disciplined.

Maza, who gave this warning during his official tour of Ikoyi passport office, and Lagos State Command of NIS, pleaded with officers to learn to live within their means and be contented with what they have. “The Comptroller General has warned everyone of us that it is now a crime for any officer to collect more than what government approved that applicants should pay.

“Change is real and we will enforce it. We are lacking in so many things because of corrupt practices. We all should support our President to stop corruption,” describing corruption as a cancer worm embarrassing the image of the service.

He urged officers and men to improve in their service delivery to passport applicants. Maza also launched the new Passport office access card at the Ikoyi Passport office.
