World-Economic-ForumThe Business Year (TBY), a leading research firm and publisher of annual resources on national economies, which is present in more than 25 countries worldwide, is nearing completion of its second annual economic publication on the Nigerian Economy.

After launching The Business Year: Nigeria 2015 last year at the World Economic Forum at Davos, the firm is currently in the final phase of its research for The Business Year: Nigeria 2016.

This unprecedented publication on Nigeria will debut on January 21, 2015, at the World Economic Forum in Davos with a special launch event at the Steigenberger Hotel Belvedere.

After singing a formal partnership with the Presidency of Nigeria in order to produce The Business Year: Nigeria 2016, TBY has interviewed some of Nigeria’s most important businesspeople.

President Muhammadu Buhari will open the publication with an interview, while Jacob Zuma of South Africa, John Mahama of Ghana, and Erna Solberg of Belgium have confirmed their participation as foreign guest speakers commenting on bilateral trade relations with Nigeria in the 2016 edition.

Important figures interviewed include Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu, Pascal Dozie, Jim Ovia, and Hakeem Bello-Osagie, among many others.

In each sector of the economy interviews with key stakeholders, regulators, and government officials indicate the direction of a nation at a crucial juncture in its history.
The nation’s major development projects are extensively covered in the report, including Eko Atlantic and Centenary City.

The Finance chapter, one of the key pieces of the publication, features interviews with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, as well as with the chief executives of the majority of the major banks in the country.
Other chapters are similarly replete and describe in detail the workings of each sector of Nigeria’s economy through interviews with the people moving them forwards.
