Oyegbola-Sodipo dedicates public service award to Abiodun, Yayi

The Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo, has dedicated his Distinguished Public Service Award in Grassroots Development to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), describing their leadership and support as instrumental to his achievements in office.

Oyegbola-Sodipo received the award at the Nigeria Public Service Lecture Series and Awards held in Abuja to commemorate the 2026 United Nations Public Service Day.

Speaking after receiving the award, the council chairman said the recognition reflected the enabling environment created by the Abiodun administration, which, according to him, has continued to promote excellence in public service and grassroots development.

“This recognition is a reflection of the enabling environment provided by Governor Dapo Abiodun, whose administration continues to encourage excellence in public service,” he said.

He also commended Senator Adeola for what he described as his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and the implementation of people-oriented projects across Ogun State.

Oyegbola-Sodipo dedicated the award to the people and staff of Abeokuta North Local Government, acknowledging their support, cooperation and commitment to the successes recorded by his administration.

He noted that the recognition would further inspire his administration to sustain the delivery of quality governance and impactful projects at the grassroots.

The council chairman attributed the award to the developmental strides recorded in Abeokuta North Local Government in recent years, particularly in infrastructure, service delivery and community development.
