The Power Of A Golden Chance
Ecclesiastes 9:11 says: “I returned and saw under the sun THAT THE RACE IS NOT TO THE SWIFT, nor the battle to the strong BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL”.
THE God of the Bible is a GOD OF ORDER. He hates disorder, as everything He does is structured in perfect order. ORDER is the perfect arrangement of things, functions, events, situations and circumstances. God created everything in organised order with perfect ecological balance. Because He is a God of order, He operates sequentially, whereby in His dealing with us everything is always TURN-BY-TURN. Since His pendulum is always swinging, He allows all to have their own TURN AND CHANCE. And the Scripture declares emphatically that everyone will always have a GOLDEN TIME AND CHANCE. “BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL”. So, in life, everyone will always have a golden opportunity to appropriate time and chance for historical exploits and impacts. The tragedy in life is for anyone to miss a golden chance – DIVINE TIMING, where an individual is expected to make a positive history, through a golden providence of opportunity. There are those, who were negative with a golden chance while others were positive with an opportune chance.
David came into the limelight, when his golden chance to slay Goliath was well appropriated. The ladies sang his praises, when he did what most men could not do. Esau had a golden chance of being in the Messianic lineage of JESUS, but he exchanged his golden chance for just one bowl of porridge. The convicted thieves/robbers had a golden chance while on the cross with JESUS. One of them recognised that DIVINE MOMENT and appealed to the SAVIOUR for eternal salvation and he got it just like that without going through water baptism and other ordinances. Lot’s wife had a golden chance, but she lost it by looking back and became a pillar of salt. In life, God will always present you with a golden chance. What you do with it, however, determines the critical history of your life.
The Israelites were indicted for not recognising God’s day of visitation. They failed to appropriate the Ministry of JESUS, the Messiah. But Bartimeus recognised his golden moment, when JESUS came to Jericho. He cried out the more because he would not let that golden moment slip by. He got JESUS’ intervention as he maximised and appropriated his golden moment. Jacob recognised his golden chance, as he wrestled with God and declared that he would not let God go until his blessings were established. If some political leaders, clergymen, decision makers, etc know that they have only one GOLDEN TERM TO SERVE, they would probably have performed better. In life, there is the brevity of time and TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. A golden chance/opportunity must never be missed or misappropriated.
In the beginning Adam and Eve had a golden moment to obey God, but they lost it and mankind suffered until JESUS came to redeem us. The price for our total emancipation has been paid. Today, we all have the golden opportunity and chance to receive eternal life by making JESUS, the LORD of our lives. There are those that have wasted time and chance. May we never reenact negative history, but maximise our divine time and chance. The pendulum will soon swing in your direction. When preparation meets opportunity, success is inevitable. Get ready for your divine moment of time and chance. You will not fail your generation – seize your divine moment. Like Joseph, shave your beard, dress up, THE PHARAOH who will help you fulfill your age-long dream will suddenly send for you. God’s time and chance will bring your dream to pass in JESUS MIGHTY NAME.
PRAYER: Father God, thanks for Your Divine Benevolence of time and chance.
I submit to the rulership of JESUS the Messiah. I receive by faith, my time and chance. God’s Divine time and chance will never be wasted in my life. I position myself for Divine timing and I take it by force. Amen.
