UNIFEMGA honours Oyo CJ, 12 others

The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA) will tomorrow honour 13 of its members for their achievements and contributions to the development of the association.

The National President, Prof. Abdulwahab Egbewole, in a statement, said that the sixth in the series of the Honours’ Day will hold in Royal Shekinah Hotel, Ilorin, Kwara State.

Those to be honoured include Justice Munta Abimbola, Chief Judge of Oyo State, Alhaji Taofik Oladipo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Lands in Oyo State and Dr Nabeel Adeyemi.

Others are, INEC Director of Administration, Dr Muslim Omoleke, Prof. Musa Aibinu of FUTA, Minna, Engr. Kamoru Akinwale and Prof. Lasisi Umoru, Chairman, Muslim Community, OAU Ile-Ife, Osun state.

Other recipients were, Dr Yusuf Akinwale, Dr Mistura Sanni, Dr E.O. Farinde, Dr Moshood Olayiwola, Dr Alirat Agboola, Dr Mistura Sanusi, all of OAU Ile-Ife, Osun state.

Egbewole said Justice Suleiman Kawu, Chief Judge of Kwara state, would be the chairman of the occasion with Malam Yusuf Ali (SAN) as Chief Host.

A lecture entitled: “ Honour in a Nation, Where Honours is a Luxury’’ would be delivered by Prof. Mudasiru Olalere Yusuf, Head of Department, Educational Technology, University of Ilorin.

Egbewole said the uniqueness of the UNIFEMGA Honours Day, was that those to be honoured were carefully selected and have excelled themselves in various fields of human endeavour.
According to him, the two –day event would also serve as a mini –reunion of members as there would be a National Executive Committee meeting (NEC) of the association on Friday night to be hosted by Malam Yusuf Ali.

Since 2011 when the maiden edition of the National Honours’ Day started, 75 members had so far been honoured and rewarded for their landmark achievements and contributions to the Association.
