Why I gravitate toward leadership, politics⸺NEC Bullion Concept CEO

Ambassador Nwadavid Chijoke Emmanuel The founder and Chief Executive of Nec Bullion Business Concept, Ambassador Nwadavid Chijoke Emmanuel has explained why he studied for a leadership certificate and hinted at the possibility of venturing into politics soon.

“I have always loved business that’s why I studied Business Administration in university, but my alternative would have been political science,” he confirmed.

The NEC Bullion boss who recently completed a postgraduate diploma in leadership studies at the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna, spoke about his inclination toward leadership studies despite a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Abuja.

He said: “Leadership is the ability of an individual to lead a group of people or an organization, hence I had nursed the zeal of becoming a leader. This, I take seriously, and have chosen two components of leadership styles, Democratic and Transformational leaderships, as my models.”

Continuing, he further avowed, “I have only ever been interested in working for public causes” stressing that he was originally interested in international economic development. “But as I grew up, I came to feel that many international organizations doing this important work were heavily dependent on governments for direction and for funding. The United States is by far the most influential, so I slowly migrated toward politics because I felt that was where I could actually have a greater impact on that cause,” he stated.

The NecBullion boss did not rule out a future incursion into politics, a move he justified this way: “Post-independence leadership and management styles in Nigeria have remained autocratic and dictatorial, which created a barrage of challenges for Nigerian youth such as poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, drugs and poverty. Now, youth are aware that their future depends on them having political power. That awareness motivates me.”
