Why Safe School Alliance?
Welcome to the 1st edition of the Safe Schools supplement in the Guardian Newspaper. Children’s safety and education remain our priority as advocates for safety in schools.
The Safe School Alliance (SSA) is an advocacy group that is promoting the need to recognise proactive measures as crucial for school safety.
The School Safety Supplement is sponsored by the SSA and it offers a wide range of ethical guidance and tips to ensure that education stakeholders are in the know about school safety needs and schools are meeting their legal obligations and creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for members of the school community and visitors.
For schools, it is important to ensure that they have a comprehensive SMS (Safety management system) in place to protect the wellbeing of their staff and students We will be bringing you ethical guidance on all aspects of safety as it relates to the education sector.
Members of the Safe School Alliance are volunteers and are subject matter experts (SMEs) in different fields of endeavour who are committed to child safety & wellbeing.
