Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has donated a brand new four-seater Hilux patrol van and a power bike to the Nigerian Police in continuation of efforts to further guarantee security on campus.

Rector of the institution, Dr. Margaret Kudirat Ladipo, while handing over the utilities said the donation was partly in appreciation of the support offered the college in the area of security in time past.

According to her, “Sabo Police Station has been wonderful in their support for the maintenance of peace and security on our campus, for this we are grateful.”

Ladipo said she looks forward to continued support from the station this year and in future, promising that as parents and administrators, the school’s management takes security on campus as serious business.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the station, Mrs. Mary Ubangha, a superintendent of police, expressed the appreciation of the police hierarchy for the donation.
She said that the donation would assist the station in its duties to the college.

“Let me assure all that the vehicle and the power bike will be made available anytime we receive a distress call from the college and they will be used for the purpose for which they were donated,” she promised.
