The Managing Director of Khalifa Group of Companies Khalifa Abubakar has donated millions of Naira to orphans and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Nigeria.

Abubakar also named an orphanage in honour of his mother, Justice Fatima Lami.

The donations by his Khalifa Abubakar Foundation were in line with its mission to assist the less privileged in the society.

The humanitarian noted that if people who have siblings and parents complain about how hard it is to survive, orphans must not be forgotten.

The foundation has made impacts in Katsina and Abuja and assured that it would in the coming years get though to the needy across the country.

The organization also built and donated Fatimatu Fauziyya Jummat mosque, while about 1,700 IDPs were covered during a recent community outreach.

Recalling how he started, Khalifa encouraged other Nigerians to be involved in charity regardless of how little, beginning with their immediate environment.

“You can start from one person and ensure you help those around you because their comfortability is a good way to start in the quest to help,” he added.
